Expressions and Equations Short Tasks
- (Task) Students will look at several short tasks or warm-up type problems dealing with basic expressions and equations. These problems vary from expressions and equations using basic operation skills to those using evaluation and analysis.
My Humble Opinion
Add linear expressions with rational coefficients
Subtract linear expressions with rational coefficients
Factor linear expressions with rational coefficients
Expand linear expressions with rational coefficients
Factor linear expressions - I don't think this was in the 7th grade 2003/2009 ACOS, although it is in most 7th grade texts.
Expand linear expressions - I was not familiar with this term, but after researching it, I believe it means to simplify using the distributive property. This is again new to 7th grade ACOS but in most textbooks.
