Approaches to Learning(ATL) is concerned with the intellectual discipline, attitudes, strategies, and skills that will result in critical, coherent, and independent thought. This theme helps students develop self-discipline and a capacity for problem solving that allows them to produce high-quality work.
Learning how to learn is concerned with the discovery and masteryof the basic learning skills critical for student success. The student is enveloped in opportunities to discover and master key skills for learning and life success. Success here is considered important for success in other areas of study.

Community Service(CS) is a theme that emphasizes community awareness and concern, a sense of civic responsibility, working cooperatively, and the skills needed to make an effective contribution to society.
The community and service area enables students to develop a caring awareness of the world around them by providing them with first-hand experience volunteering in areas of service. Students will grow emotionally and socially as they broaden their horizons and partake in activities that respond to a social need.

Health and Social Education(H&S) is a theme that prepares students for a physically and mentally healthy life and helps them develop a sense of responsibility for their own well being.
Health and Social Education encourages respect for body and mind which in turn enables an individual to make informed, responsible choices.

Understanding one's relationships with others (friendships, communcation, peer pressure, family responsibilities)
Understanding one's place in society (freedom and responsibility, crime and law, prejudice and stereotyping)
Environment(E) is a theme that develops the students' awareness of the interdependence of humans and nature. Students learn investigative and problem-solving strategies, which will encourage them to accept responsibility for maintaining an environment fit for the future.
Environment encourages students to contribute to a global environment and live in harmony with each other and the natural world. Focal points include making the best use of our resources, understanding conservation, being aware of our interdependence with the environment, and being responsible to maintain the environment for present and future generations.

Homo Faber(HF) is concerned with human creative genius and the impact of this creativity on society and the human mind over time. Students learn to appreciate the human capacity to influence, transform, enjoy, and improve the quality of life. Learning about homo faber therefore encourages students to see the relationships between science, aesthetics, technology, and ethics over time.
Homo Faber (man the maker) is concerned with the products and creative and inventive genius of people and their impact on society and the human mind. One focus encourages students to see the relationships among science aesthetics, technology and ethics. Homo Faber develops opportunities for students to appreciate the human capacity and drive to invent, create, transform, enjoy, and improve the quality of life over time.
